Disease Predispostion

Many single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP's) and other genetic differences are reported to be associated with the predisposition for certain diseases. Among these, are groups of polymorphisms that are associated with thrombosis, blood pressure, cardiac diseases, lactose intolerance, course of inflammations, parodontitis, osteoporosis, allergy, Alzheimer disease and other pathologies. For several associations the importance of these variations is still under discussion.

Research and diagnostic use of LightMix® kits affecting intronic sequences are covered by a license agreement with Genetic Technologies Ltd. (GTG), Fitzroy, Australia.
